Constance HubbardFounder of Imago Design BiographyConstance Hubbard is a fine artist and designer with wide ranging expertise. She grew up drawing and painting and received an excellent art education that culminated in a scholarship to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She also studied art history, technique, and theory at Orange Coast College, where she also received a certification in Horticulture Science. Many disciplines have contributed to Constance’s creative development. Being raised in a family of designers, cooks, and artists, her childhood laid a foundation for artistic pursuits. As a young woman Constance became an accomplished dancer, studying Russian ballet and the Cecchetti method through the Royal Ballet of London. Even while studying Dance, Constance continued to nurture her talent for design, drawing, and painting. She held formative professional positions which exposed her to antiques, fabrics, furniture and gardens. She quickly developed a reputation as a gifted designer whose work was trend setting. Since the founding of Imago Design in 1999, Constance has enjoyed serving both commercial and residential clients throughout Orange County. Some of her projects include a commission to develop color palettes with Benjamin Moore & Co. for the home owner’s association of The Pointe at Newport Ridge, and service on the Landscape Committee at Orange Coast College since 2009, where she plays a key role in the design of campus landscape. Constance has designed and taught a fine art curriculum for Mariners Christian School, which blossomed into a robust art program. In 2012, Constance's drawing contributions helped the Horticulture Club at Orange Coast College earn First Prize at the Southern California Spring Garden Show. Personal Statement
